Tuvia Italia Strengthens Partnership with Kerry Indev, Allowing Better Access to Indian Market
Seeking to create an even better trade relationship between Europe and India, Guido Nazzari, Executive Vice President at Tuvia Italia, visits his colleagues at Kerry Indev.
As the fastest growing major economy in the world, India is a force to be reckoned with. Its GDP grew by 6.6 per cent in 2017-18. Following this trend, India will become one of the top three economic powers in the world within the next decade. For European companies, India is attractive both as a country of production and as a country of consumers who are increasingly using e-commerce solutions to do their shopping.
European companies that want to gain access to the Indian market have a strong partner in our Indian country organisation. Kerry Indev has been in the logistics business for over 33 years and provides our customers with a full suite of international freight forwarding and customs brokerage services. In order to facilitate easy imports into India, we offer more than 10 million sq ft of warehousing space in the Free Trade Warehousing Zones in Chennai and Mundra.
Stronger cooperation between Italy and India
India has become an important trading partner for Italy with an interchange of 8.7 billion euros in 2017. These numbers are increasing every year. Exports from Italy are up by 9.2 per cent while imports from India to Italy have increased by an impressive 21.4 per cent. In order to further improve the trade relationship between the two countries, Guido Nazzari of Tuvia Italia visited several offices of Kerry Indev.
“With the purchasing power of the Indian middle class growing daily, India is a market that European and especially Italian companies can’t ignore,” explains Guido Nazzari. “Our goal is to enable European small to medium sized companies with no direct presence in India to tap into the lucrative Indian market.”
